"Literacy
and language should never end. I always take time
to greet each child each day. I answer questions
about books in the class room all day. We have put
books all over our classrooms, and try to continue
the themes in the books in several different content
areas. Also a book never ends, two week from now
I will still talk about a book we have already read
and bring it out again." Posted by Kaybee
"Any really good children's book will have a problem that gets solved before
the story ends. Like, Caps for Sale where the peddlar needs to get his caps back,
or Peter Rabbit who is trying to get home. One of the best things to do is to
ask the children what they think will happen next or predict the ending(when
you get to the most suspenseful part. After the story, ask them to think of another
ending for the story or explain why they liked or didn't like the way it ended." Posted
