WRITING A

Video Focus

Watch the video clip...then answer some simple questions to check your understanding. Click the image below to continue.

Choose "slow" if you connect to the internet with a modem, choose "fast" if you connect with a cable modem, DSL or other fast connection (usually available at work, schools, public libraries, etc). Click on this instructions link for more help on viewing the video.

Answer the following two questions about the clips you just watched.

  1. What strategies did the teacher in the clip use to connect children's writing and reading skills?

  2. What are some ways you can create writing opportunities for children in your classrooom?



 

 

Instructions for viewing video clips:

Be sure you have the Quicktime Video Player installed on your computer

In order to view the Video Focus clips on HURonline, you will need to have a free piece of software called Quicktime, in order to view and interact with these clips. Follow this link (Get Quicktime) to the download page, scroll to the bottom of the page to download and run the free installer.
