Help: Video Focus
Quicktime
In order to watch
the video Clip of the Week, you need to have a free piece
of software called Quicktime installed on your computer.
When you click on the following link, a small window will
open on top of this one. If you have the correct version
of Quicktime, you may see a blue letter "Q" then after
a moment, a test movie. The movie will have a red colored
TV with the HeadsUp! Reading logo shaking in the screen.

If the video
did not play, click on Install
Quicktime.
Video Speed
Before watching
each video, you will be prompted to choose an appropriate
video speed according to your internet connection. If
you are not promted, you can manunal set your Internet
connection by clicking the "About Qucktime" button
(see below) and then "Connection Speed."
- Users that
connect to the Internet by dialing a modem, make sure
that you use the Slow option. Because of the modem,
the video will act more like a slide show presentation.
- Users who connect
through a cable modem, DSL, or at work, should be able
to use the Fast option. If the Fast speed is the
correct option for you, the video should play smooth
with little hesitation. If the video does not play continuously,
please try the slow speed.

The movie player
that shows the Clip of the Week is equipped with the following
control buttons:
- Volume

- Stop & Play

- Rewind
and Fast Forward

Other Movie
Players
In order to
view the Clip of the Week, it must open in Quicktime.
If the video is trying to open in another application,
for example Windows Media Player, read through the following
steps:
- Depending
on your computer experience, you may not want to fix
this problem on your own. Talk with your local technology
expert to see if they can help you.
- If you feel
comfortable tackling this problem, then check either
the Windows Registry or the "win.ini" file to make
sure that Quicktime plays all .MOV files.
